Roach's IRC motto: There can be only one! Although he had used IRC as far back as 1993 from a UNIX shell at his college, Roach did not make the true transition into the medium until late 1994. Internet access was costly then, and the only provider in his area was the infamous AOL (America Online.) Limited by the Internet Provider available at the time, Roach only used the Efnet IRC network. Even then he spent a great deal of time on AOL warez chat rather than using IRC. In 1996 Roach first started to use the oz.org Internet Relay Chat network. It was around the time oz.org was still connected with Undernet. Roach was a channel operator in a channel called #10-20_teenchat. He later started the legendary channel known as #12-22_teenflirt and became a founding member of the channel #abuse-channel. Roach now resides mainly on the channel #texas on the oz.org IRC network as well as a few channels on Undernet and Linux.org.
