Welcome to ROBOTZ.COM - your personal web presence providerHere are some simple instructions on how to access your web directory and create your own homepage. Every account holder will be assigned a "username" and "password". The username can be anything you want, most often a 'nick' or 'handle' that you use on the web. Your username will also be your directory name on our server. You must choose a username that is unique to our server, no other user is allowed to have the same username. Your password will be your security, that allows only you to access your web directory. You are strictly responsible for all material in your web directory, no matter how it got there, so be careful who knows your password. We strongly urge you to keep that to yourself. To post your documents to the world wide web, simply upload them into the /public_html sub-directory of your personal user directory on the FTP server. Log on with your username and password. You will find your directory under: /username/public_html Feel free to explore the many other resources our FTP has to offer. The document you want to be your homepage, you must name index.html Just replace this document with the one you want to use. If you do not use index.html for your default document name, users will not be able to properly access your homepage. After you have posted your documents to the http sub-directory of your directory on the ftp, they will be available to the world as a web site in the following format: http://www.robotz.com/~username be sure to include the character: ~ before your username in the URL to view your homepage. If you have any further questions please contact the webmaster at webmaster@robotz.com.
