The ICQ banner removal crack
If you don't know what this crack is for, read our article:
"New ICQ Protocol part of forcing advertisements on users"
This crack is provided by the
ICQ Banner Killer web site.
If you have any questions or comments
about this crack, please direct them to the proprietor of the
ICQ Banner Killer web site.
Two ways to remove banners from ICQ 2001b (all builds)
1. Making a clean install:
==================
- Install ICQ
- Before the first start of ICQ delete the ICQhttp.dll file in your ICQ directory
- For Win9x/ME run
disable_w9x.reg
For Win2000 run
disable_w2k.reg
- Your ICQ will stay add-free.
Warning: You cannot import your old Database if this one was "add-infected"
2. Killing adds from a existing version:
===========================
With this method you will lose your message history and many of your ICQ settings. You will also lose your
contact list unless it is on the ICQ server. Versions 2001 and later save your contact list on the server.
- Completely Close ICQ
- Delete ICQhttp.dll
- For Win9x/ME run
disable_w9x.reg
For Win2000 run
disable_w2k.reg
- Remove the content of your 2001a folder
- Restart ICQ
- Type in your ICQ Number and password
- Set all your lost settings again, they will be saved now
- If stored there, your contact List will be loaded from the server
- ICQ is and will now remain 100% add-free
Warning: You cannot import your old Database if this one was "add-infected"
We have provided the files you need and were mentioned above. For Windows 95/98/2000 all the files are in one zip
archive. You only need this single zip file.
DOWNLOAD ICQ BANNER CRACK
You do NOT have to remove the three known atebrowser-files, no
adds are downloaded and your ICQ stays 100% functional. You do
NOT have to make a write protected partner.xml (this could make
2001a alpha crash!)
