Alternatives to the Mirabilis ICQ program

Foreword about Instant Message programs
ICQ is only one of many different Instant Message programs, called I.M. for short. These programs all send
instant messages and are based on some form of "buddy list". Some IM programs are interchangeable with others
while the rest only work with users that have the same IM program. To learn more about IM,

ICQ Clones versus other IM alternatives
An ICQ clone is a program written to work with the ICQ network allowing you to communicate with other ICQ
users, but is not provided by Mirabilis (the company that created ICQ). Other IM programs usually do not
work with ICQ, but have their own network of users. Both the ICQ clones and other IM programs are offered
here for you to download.
