Supported Web Hosting Technologies

• Static HTML Pages

  We can host any regular web site created with any HTML editor. This includes Dreamweaver, Frontpage, (any WYSIWYG editor) or HTML created with a text editor. How the the site is created has no bearing on whether or not we can host it. If it is a static HTML web site, we can host it.

• Dynamic Web Sites / Web Applications

  Web sites with special programmed dynamic features, or interact with a database are referred to as "Web Applications." They are actually programs that output HTML based on web site visitor activity.

  We can host web applications written in PHP, Perl, and Python.

  Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) and VB .NET are not supported at this time. These are costly proprietary technologies that have proven to be less stable and less reliable than the UNIX based technologies that we are currently supporting.

• Database Support

  We currently provide direct access to a MySQL database. This can be integrated with most open source web applications available today. MySQL is powerful, reliable, and it is easy to create web applications that interact with MySQL.

• CMS and BLOG Hosting

  We provide pre-installed access to many popular BLOG applications and CMS (Content Management Systems). For example, we currently host Slashcode, WordPress, and Mambo. These are deployed for a multi-user environment and can be pre-configured for your use. This is a convenient way for you to have your own web application without doing any programming or having any web development skill. These are plug-n-play applications that are ready for you to use. Simply supply the pictures and text, and you have a fully functional dynamic web application!
